Il quinto album della band di Bristol ci mostra una band che continua ad aver voglia di muoversi, cambiare, senza rinnegare niente, e sempre avendo cose da dire a livello di liriche. Le atmosfere sono se possibile ancora più cupe rispetto al precedente Crawler, al punto che Joe Talbot finisce per sembrare un crooner post new wave. Ci sono alcuni brani che sono Idles "vecchia maniera", che tra l'altro ti si piantano in testa senza possibilità di uscirne, ma la maggior parte del disco ci mostra un lato quasi sorprendente della band stessa. Interessante.
The Bristol band's fifth album shows us a band that continues to want to move, change, without denying anything, and always having things to say lyrically. The atmosphere is, if possible, even darker than the previous Crawler, to the point that Joe Talbot ends up looking like a post-new wave crooner. There are some songs that are "old fashioned" Idles, which among other things get stuck in your head with no way of getting out, but the majority of the album shows us an almost surprising side of the band itself. Interesting.
