I due Hotel Francfort - David Leavitt (2013)Lisbona, 1940. Due coppie si incontrano per caso mentre si trovano in uno dei due Hotel Francfort della città, in attesa di un passaggio sicuro verso gli Stati Uniti durante la prima estate della Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
Interessante ambientazione per una love story gay, che include anche la classica maturazione della gaytudine in tarda età, spesso presente nei romanzi di Leavitt (e non solo nei suoi), con presenza di figure storiche realmente esistite, per un buon romanzo. Ad essere onesti, però, da Leavitt ci aspettiamo qualcosa di più.
Interesting setting for a gay love story, which also includes the classic maturation of gay orientation in late age, often present in Leavitt's novels (and not only in his), with the presence of historical figures really existed, for a good novel. To be honest though, we expect more from Leavitt.
