Terzo disco per la band di Phoenix, Arizona (primo per me, come succede ormai spesso negli ultimi anni), inizialmente nata come progetto solista del multi-strumentista Nate Garrett (intuisco che adesso, quantomeno dal vivo, si occupi "solo" di chitarra, voce, synth, avendo arruolato Marcus Bryant alla batteria, Eric Wagner all'altra chitarra, e Chase Mason al basso). Il disco, a me che ricordo ancora con grande affetto la NWOBHM, mi piace. Non c'è assolutamente niente di nuovo, la band suona un heavy metal molto classico, ispirato come detto alla New Wave of British Heavy Metal, con tanto di voce pulita, sempre più rara di questi tempi. Teoricamente, non dovrebbero piacermi le cose totalmente già sentite: eppure, questo genere, l'esempio dei migliori The Sword lo dimostra, se ben fatto, dà sempre delle belle soddisfazioni.
Third album for the band from Phoenix, Arizona (first for me, as it often happens in recent years), initially born as a solo project by the multi-instrumentalist Nate Garrett (seems that now, at least live, he deals "only" with guitar, vocals , synth, having enlisted Marcus Bryant on drums, Eric Wagner on the other guitar, and Chase Mason on bass). I like the record, not suprisingly, to me which I still remember with great affection of the NWOBHM. There is absolutely nothing new, the band plays a very classic heavy metal, inspired as said by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, with a clean singing, increasingly rare thing these days. Theoretically, I shouldn't like things that have already been fully heard: yet, this genre, the example of the best The Sword proves it, if done well, it always gives good satisfactions.
