La faccio breve: gli inglesi Svalbard sono una delle mia band preferite, ultimamente, e questo loro quarto disco è a mio giudizio uno dei migliori dell'anno in corso. Post hardcore, metal e blackgaze si incontrano, musica potente ed emozionante, con liriche che vertono soprattutto sulla salute mentale. In punta di piedi, gli Svalbard introducono il violino, suonato da uno dei due cantanti, Liam Phelan, e le tracce sono una più belle e travolgenti dell'altra. Grandi.
I'll make it short: the English Svalbard are one of my favorite bands lately, and this fourth album of theirs is in my opinion one of the best of the current year. Post hardcore, metal and blackgaze meet, powerful and emotional music, with lyrics that focus above all on mental health. On tiptoe, Svalbard introduce the violin, played by one of the two singers, Liam Phelan, and the tracks are each more beautiful and overwhelming than the other. Great.
