Il quinto album della band di Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, come dice, secondo me giustamente, Nick Ruskell su Kerrang!, "The Above è un album che spesso va nella direzione opposta di quanto ci si aspetterebbe... hanno fatto sì che una vasta gamma di cose funzioni insieme così bene... niente di tutto questo sembra una perdita rispetto a ciò che erano una volta i Code Orange." Un disco che spiazza ma assolutamente, non segna un passo indietro, al contrario. Più spazio alla voce di Reba, una collaborazione con Billy Corgan (Take Shape) e la produzione di Steve Albini che dà al tutto un retrogusto grunge che piacerà ai nostalgici (come me), senza perdere un briciolo di potenza e aggressività. Ottimo disco.

An album that shocks but absolutely does not mark a step backwards, on the contrary. More space for Reba's voice, a collaboration with Billy Corgan (Take Shape) and Steve Albini's production which gives everything a grunge aftertaste that nostalgics (like me) will like, without losing a bit of power and aggression. Excellent album.
