Final Transmission è il sesto album in studio della mitica underground band statunitense dei Cave In; la band ha sempre alternato periodi di inattività a quelli attivi, e questo disco è stato inciso utilizzando le basi di basso registrate dal bassista Caleb Scofield, morto nel marzo del 2018 in un incidente stradale. Al di là dei motivi emozionali che potrebbero influenzare il giudizio su questo disco, i Cave In si confermano unici nel loro genere; le tracce riuscirebbero ad emozionare l'ascoltatore anche se non fossero costruite, appunto, su quelle linee di basso. Disco strano e a tratti psichedelico, nonostante post rock sia l'unica definizione che si possa usare per avvicinarsi ad una sommaria descrizione.
Final Transmission is the sixth studio album by the mythical American underground band Cave In; the band has always alternated periods of inactivity with active ones, and this record was recorded using the bass bases recorded by bassist Caleb Scofield, who died in March 2018 in a car accident. Beyond the emotional reasons that could influence the judgment on this record, the Cave In are confirmed as unique in their kind; the tracks could excite the listener even if they weren't built on those bass lines. A strange and at times psychedelic record, despite being post-rock it is the only definition that can be used to approach a summary description.
