Il nuovo album (il terzo) di questa cantautrice di Easton, Maryland, che come saprete seguiamo fin dai suoi esordi, è stato ben accolto dalla gran parte della critica. Siccome la ragazza mi sta simpatica, non posso che esserne contento. Vi dico cosa ne penso io: ho trovato l'album un poco meno spontaneo, e quindi leggermente inferiore alle aspettative che avevo. Capisco perfettamente che Maggie Rogers stia cercando di allargare il suo bacino d'utenza, e quindi si apra a un pop più facilmente fruibile, inglobando qualche influenza in più, ma personalmente ho trovato qualche canzone meno indimenticabile del solito. Certo, quando ti piazza lì roba come I Still Do o la canzone che dà il titolo all'album, Don't Forget Me, beh, arriva ancora in fondo al cuore.

Since I like the girl, I can't help but be happy about it. I'll tell you what I think: I found the album a little less spontaneous, and therefore slightly lower than the expectations I had. I completely understand that Maggie Rogers is trying to broaden her user base, and therefore she is opening up to a more easily accessible pop, incorporating some more influences, but personally I found some songs less unforgettable than usual. Of course, when you put stuff like I Still Do or the title track of the album, Don't Forget Me, well, she still gets to the bottom of your heart.
