Ennesimo disco per una band che, a quanto mi pare di intuire, è ancora estremamente sottovalutata rispetto all'impatto e alla tremenda e diffusissima influenza che ha avuto sulla musica hard rock (metal nello specifico, ma non solamente). Ormai quintetto (stranissimo, due chitarre, un basso, due batterie, non considerando la voce) in pianta stabile, un suono riconoscibile all'istante ed estremizzato dalla doppia batteria (e che batteristi), Tarantula Heart, cinque brani per circa 40 minuti di mazzate e divagazioni noise, è l'ulteriore dimostrazione della grandezza estrema dei Melvins.
Yet another album for a band that, as I understand it, is still extremely underrated compared to the impact and the tremendous and widespread influence it had on hard rock music (metal specifically, but not only). Now a permanent quintet (very strange, two guitars, a bass, two drums, not considering the voice), a sound instantly recognizable and taken to the extreme by the double drum kit (and what drummers), Tarantula Heart, five songs for about 40 minutes of blows and noise digressions, is the further demonstration of the extreme greatness of the Melvins.
