Vi segnalo (dopo che me l'hanno segnalato, e ringrazio come sempre chi lo ha fatto) questo disco, molto bello, che mescola industrial metal, elettronica, ambient, con un'atmosfera abbastanza cupa e decadente, ma con aperture melodiche irresistibili. Thief è un progetto solista di Dylan Neal (di base a Los Angeles, California), e il ladro (Thief) in questo caso è la demenza, che ruba ricordi (Memory), quella che l'artista sta sperimentando nel caso del padre, al quale recentemente è stata appunto diagnosticata la demenza senile. Quarto album, la critica cita NIN, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, e io ci aggiungo Massive Attack, Tricky e Portishead (la title track Bleed Memory "ruba" l'andamento base alla celeberrima Teardrop, tirandone poi fuori qualcosa di totalmente diverso), per un disco fuori dagli schemi e come già accennato, assolutamente da ascoltare.
I would like to point out to you (after they pointed it out to me, and as always I thank those who did it) this very beautiful album, which mixes industrial metal, electronics, ambient, with a fairly dark and decadent atmosphere, but with irresistible melodic openings. Thief is a solo project by Dylan Neal (based in Los Angeles, California), and the thief (Thief) in this case is dementia, which steals memories (Memory), the one the artist is experiencing in the case of his father, who was recently diagnosed with senile dementia. Fourth album, critics mention NIN, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, and I add Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead (the title track Bleed, Memory "steals" the basic trend from the famous Teardrop, then bringing out something totally different), for a record that is outside the box and as already mentioned, absolutely worth listening to.
