Lamb of God - Lamb of God (2020)

So: Lamb of God is the tenth studio album for Lamb of God, if we consider the Burn the Priest debut still under the name Burn the Priest, and the 2018 Legion: XX cover album, also that one under the name Burn the Priest. After a (second) hiatus, let's call it a rest, the farewell to the historic drummer Chris Adler (brother of one of the guitarists Willie), replaced by the excellent Art Cruz (already with Prong and Winds of Plague), their support for the infinite Slayer Farewell Tour (for those who have missed the reportage), the solo album of the solo guitarist Mark Morton Anesthetic of 2019. All this, I would say, seems to have somehow regenerated the band, which to be honest, I read much criticized on the net, but in my opinion worthy of respect. Above all, this self-titled disc sounds really convincing: hard, with well-written tracks, with an excellent technical performance of all the components (to underline Morton's work, really good), with angry lyrics and in line with the American "moment" . Worthy heirs of the groove metal.
