Probabilmente per la prima volta da quando mi "confronto" con alcune testate che ritengo piuttosto autorevoli in campo musicale, mi trovo totalmente in disaccordo sia con il voto di Pitchfork che con quello, giudizio incluso, del The Guardian, sul secondo disco di Mura Masa, all'anagrafe Alex Crossan, da Guernsey, UK. Tutto basato su un sentimento nostalgico che riflette su una generazione cosiddetta "senza speranza", il disco è elettronico ma si basa molto su leggeri riff di chitarra, e vede diverse collaborazioni interessanti (Clairo, Neg Green, Slowthai, Tirzah, Georgia, Elle Roswell dei Wolf Alice), per una manciata di canzoni quantomeno divertenti e ricercate. Io l'ho trovato delicato.
Probably for the first time since I "compare" myself with some newspaper that I consider quite authoritative in the music field, I totally disagree both with Pitchfork's vote and with that, including judgment, of The Guardian, on the second album of Mura Masa, aka Alex Crossan, from Guernsey, UK. All based on a nostalgic feeling that reflects on a so-called "No Hope" generation, the record is electronic but relies heavily on light guitar riffs, and sees several interesting collaborations (Clairo, Neg Green, Slowthai, Tirzah, Georgia, Elle Roswell by Wolf Alice), for a handful of songs at least fun and refined. I found it delicate.
