Settimo disco in studio per la cantautrice inglese, che arriva dopo l'intermezzo con i LUMP nel 2018. Se pensiamo che la Marling ha "solo" 30 anni, il suo curriculum è impressionante. Così come impressionante è la maturità musicale, pari al fatto di riuscire costantemente a produrre dischi mai banali. Naturalmente, i riferimenti di genere sono obbligati: Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, ma pure Neil Young, Paul McCartney e perfino echi di Lou Reed. Testi intelligenti, ironici, poetici, tracce che spaziano anche a livello musicale, non c'è semplice folk, e una voce dotata e capace. Un altro buon disco.
