In the Moment That You're Born - Brad (2023)

In modalità "a sorpresa", esce un nuovo disco dei Brad. Infatti, il 3 aprile 2023, il quarto anniversario della morte di Shawn Smith, cantante della band, la pagina Facebook dei Brad ha annunciato il loro ultimo album, contenente le canzoni su cui gli altri componenti stavano lavorando con Smith nel 2019 quando è morto, dicendo che sarebbe uscito in estate, intitolato In The Moment That You're Born. Un disco ovviamente eterogeneo e che, nonostante una netta sensazione di raccogliticcio, ci dice un paio di cose. La prima, che la voce di Smith rimarrà unica ed indimenticabile. La seconda, che conservando la sua filosofia eclettica, musicalmente, i rimanenti componenti, con un nuovo cantante, potrebbero anche regalarci qualcosa di curioso. Magari cambiando nome.

An obviously heterogeneous disc which, despite a clear feeling of being collected here and there, tells us a couple of things. The first is that Smith's voice will remain unique and unforgettable. The second, that by keeping his eclectic philosophy, musically, the remaining components, with a new singer, could also give us something curious. Maybe changing the name.
