1 La storia è incentrata su una coppia, i Lambert, il cui figlio entra inspiegabilmente in uno stato comatoso e diventa un veicolo per i fantasmi in una dimensione astrale.
2 La stessa coppia cerca di scoprire il segreto che li ha lasciati pericolosamente collegati al mondo degli spiriti.
3 Precedente alla tribolazione della famiglia Lambert, parla di una ragazza, Quinn, che è perseguitata da un demone dopo aver provato ad invocare la madre morta.
4 Situato cronologicamente dopo il prequel, ma prima dei primi 2 film, segue la parapsicologa Elise Rainier mentre indaga su una presenza nella sua casa d'infanzia.
A volte capita che, quando mi ritrovo a scrivere di film visti molte settimane prima, ritocco il voto finale, perché mi accorgo che mi hanno lasciato più di quanto sentivo appena terminata la visione. Ho scelto di non assegnare voti al cosiddetti franchise giusto per non aggiungere una ulteriore riga ai titoli, non per evitare il giudizio tranchant. In questo caso devo onestamente dirvi che questi quattro film horror/paranormali non mi hanno lasciato nulla, se non il rimpianto di aver perso almeno 6 ore che avrei potuto dedicare ad altre attività ludiche. A volte, non si capisce come si possa insistere su un filone evidentemente infruttifero. Se il primo film era debole, potete immaginarvi i seguenti. Da evitare.
