Come anticipato qualche giorno fa, dopo neppure sette mesi a distanza da It Comes In Waves, arriva il decimo disco in studio per The Acacia Strain, dal titolo Slow Decay. L'approccio è ancora quello, un deathcore dall'attitudine hc punk spesso dall'incedere lento, quindi con forti richiami sludge, pesante, epico e maestoso, con squarci di velocità meno importanti del solito, ma comunque presenti. Ospiti graditi sono Aaron Heard (Jesus Piece, Nothing), Jess Nyx (Mortality Rate), Zach Hatfield (Left Behind), Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox), e il risultato è un bel monolite di violenza ed aggressività che riesce a trapassarci le orecchie ben bene. Ogni tanto c'è bisogno di un disco così.
As anticipated a few days ago, after not even seven months after It Comes In Waves, the tenth studio album for The Acacia Strain, entitled Slow Decay, arrives. The approach is still that, a deathcore with a hc punk attitude often with a slow pace, therefore with strong references to sludge, heavy, epic and majestic, with glimpses of speed less important than usual, but still present. Welcome guests are Aaron Heard (Jesus Piece, Nothing), Jess Nyx (Mortality Rate), Zach Hatfield (Left Behind), Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox), and the result is a nice monolith of violence and aggression that manages to pierce our ears very well. Every now and then you need a record like this.
