Il nuovo disco (il terzo in studio) dei Pvris, che esce appena due giorni dopo il licenziamento del chitarrista Alex Babinski, in seguito ad accuse di molestie sessuali, segna decisamente l'allontanamento della band stessa dalle radici metalcore, che si potevano intuire lontanissimamente nei dischi precedenti, verso un electro-pop vicino a quello di Robyn, tanto per farvi un nome col quale paragonare il tutto. La voce di Lynn Gunn è esaltata al massimo da questa mutazione, forse definitiva, il disco è piacevole ma il genere non è quello che preferisco. Adesso, la sfida sarà quella di crescere a livello compositivo, per provare a sbaragliare la concorrenza in questo campo.
The new album (the third in the studio) by Pvris, which comes out just two days after the dismissal of guitarist Alex Babinski, following allegations of sexual misconduct, definitely marks the departure of the band itself from metalcore roots, which could has been guessed very far in previous records, towards an electro-pop close to that of Robyn, just to give you a name with which to compare everything. Lynn Gunn's voice is enhanced to the maximum by this mutation, perhaps definitive, the record is pleasant but the genre is not what I prefer. Now, the challenge will be to grow at the compositional level, to try to beat the competition in this field.
