Prima di parlare del nuovo e decimo disco della band proveniente da Chicopee, Massachusetts, e pure per arrivarci preparati, parliamo del loro precedente, uscito a neppure un anno di distanza (dicembre 2019). Impatto violentissimo e a tratti devastante, il loro è un metal / deathcore che fa suo l'approccio e l'attitudine hardcore punk, con alcuni momenti di breve interludio (probabilmente giusto per tirare il fiato), fatti di arpeggi, campionamenti ed elettronica sullo sfondo, e rallentamenti sludge d'atmosfera. Il resto è un attacco frontale che tende a non fare prigionieri, supportato da una voce che alterna i toni ma che rimane sempre estremamente aggressiva. Nove tracce, titoli che posti in ordine formano una frase compiuta e sibillina ("Our Only Sin Was Giving Them Names"), per un disco molto robusto.
Before talking about the new and tenth album of the band from Chicopee, Massachusetts, and also to get there prepared, let's talk about their previous one, released less than a year ago (December 2019). Extremely violent and sometimes devastating impact, theirs is a metal / deathcore that makes the hardcore punk approach and attitude its own, with some moments of brief interlude (probably just to take a breath), made up of arpeggios, samples and electronics in the background, and atmospheric sludge slowdowns. The rest is a frontal attack that tends not to take prisoners, supported by a voice that alternates tones but which always remains extremely aggressive. Nine tracks, titles that put in order form a complete and cryptic phrase ("Our Only Sin Was Giving Them Names"), for a very robust record.
