Il secondo album della band di Liverpool, del quale vi parlo con colpevole ritardo (ritardo di cui mi scuso) visto che è uscito in febbraio di questo 2020, è uno di quei dischi che fa ben sperare, a proposito di musica pesante, e metal in genere. I cinque ragazzi, che già dai nomi riflettono un Regno Unito moderno e multietnico, alternano tracce iper energiche e devastanti ad interludi di grande effetto, sfoderando tutto il loro amore per una delle band che (adesso dobbiamo ammetterlo, giusto in occasione del loro ritorno in grande stile) più hanno influenzato il metal odierno: i Deftones. Questa sorta di fantasma aleggia su tutto il disco, e lo rende appunto, bello, affascinante, omaggiante, ma i giovani, perché lo sono, riescono a far trapelare la loro personalità comunque. Naturalmente, la band di Chino non è l'unica evidente influenza, come è giusto che sia, ma ripeto, c'è impegno, c'è talento, c'è freschezza, bisogna tenerli d'occhio.
The Liverpool band's second album, which I speak to you with guilt late (delay of which I apologise) since it was released in February of this 2020, is one of those records that bodes well, about heavy music, and metal in general. The five boys, who already by the names reflect a modern and multi-ethnic United Kingdom, alternate hyper energetic and devastating tracks with interludes of great effect, showing all their love for one of the bands that (now we have to admit, just on the occasion of their return in a big way) most influenced today's metal: the Deftones. This kind of ghost hovers all over the record, and makes it precisely, beautiful, charming, honorable, but these young lads, because they are, manage to leak their personality anyway. Of course, Chino's band is not the only obvious influence, as it is right that it is, but I repeat, there is commitment, there is talent, there is freshness, you have to keep an eye on them.
