The All Is One - Motorpsycho (2020)

I swear, just get distracted for a moment and the Norwegian band releases an album. It seems like yesterday that I saw them in concert for The Crucible tour (actually October 2019, so almost a year ...), and I discover, at the time of the release of this new The All is One, that even before leaving for this tour, they had released The Light Fantastic, a collection of unreleased tracks only on vinyl initially, then made available (April 2020) also in digital format on Bandcamp. That being said, Motorpsycho, here then at their, perhaps, twenty-fifth album, continue to be a welcome exception, and a fantastic band, not just in terms of prolificacy. Listening to a new album of theirs is like taking a journey through the history of music, even though, in my humble opinion, Pink Floyd is an important point of reference, more for the approach than for anything else. Airy and even symphonic atmospheres are the backdrop to long rock digressions, confirming that this band is determined to stay on their feet, playing what they prefer, who knows until when.
