Alive! - Kiss (1975)

Boy, what a hard rock record that. Fourth work for the New York band's, first live album after the initial triplet of studio records, which had not yielded the expected results, also the result of their record label financial problems. Long debate on the supposed overdubs, but the fact is that this disk, which of course includes a set list made from tracks of previous Kiss, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed to Kill, it's fabulous. Personally, I took me a while to appreciate it, since the musical imprinting of a kiss-maniac had been given to me from Alive II, and paradoxically, the financial means and the recording techniques had been made great strides in that interval of only two years (those between 1975, the year of release of Alive!, and 1977, the year of Alive II output), but the roughness and the mastery of a hard rock band, often regarded as clowns, but that on the contrary influenced hundreds of accomplished musicians, and millions of music listeners for years to come, it is undeniable, especially on this record.
Difficult to report something, but what I can tell you, as a fan of long standing, is that my favorite track is the version of C'mon and Love Me, and that the versions that were momentous are those of Deuce, Strutter, Firehouse, 100,000 Years, Cold Gin, Rock and Roll All Nite; and what I can tell, it is that you will find rock beauty in every nuance of this epoch-making album, and that Kiss have nothing to envy to hard rock band considered more from the critics.
The title is an homage to Slade, a band Kiss loved; they had a record called Slade Alive! in 1972.
