Bene, Francesco Motta è arrivato al "difficile secondo album", e secondo me, supera la prova a pieni voti. Mi convince ancor più che con il suo debutto di due anni fa, che è davvero una delle cose più interessanti nel panorama italiano. Il disco, musicalmente, è tutto da ascoltare, di quelli, dico, da ascoltare bene, a fondo, in cuffia, per gustarsi ogni sfumatura. Delle influenze che mi pareva di riconoscere nel suo debutto, qua prevalgono soprattutto quelle che oserei definire world music; la bellezza del disco sta in questo calderone che modernizza questa world music del terzo millennio, impregnandola di canzone d'autore italiana. I testi continuano ad essere vagamente ermetici, sicuramente alla ricerca della frase ad effetto: non so come la vedete, ma questa, a mio parere, è la parte più debole. Ma è davvero un cercare il pelo nell'uovo (o spaccare il capello in quattro).
Well, Francesco Motta arrived at the "difficult second album", and in my opinion, he passed the test with flying colors. It convinces me even more than with his debut of two years ago, which is really one of the most interesting things on the Italian scene. The record, musically, is all to hear, of those, I say, to listen well, thoroughly, with the headphones, to enjoy every nuance. Of the influences that I seemed to recognize in his debut, here prevail above all those that I would call world music; the beauty of the record lies in this cauldron that modernizes this world music of the third millennium, impregnating it with Italian songwriting. The lyrics continue to be vaguely hermetic, certainly in search of the sentence to quote: I do not know how you see it, but this, in my opinion, is the weaker part. But it is really the forced research for a flaw.
