Con tutta la simpatia che provo verso Elena Jane Goulding, e avendone apprezzato alcune cose in passato, non posso promuovere questo suo quarto album intitolato Brightest Blue. Pur rilevando il sottile velo sperimentale-barra-elettronico che la diversifica leggermente dal resto delle cantanti pop, dopo ripetuti ascolti fatico davvero a trovare anche solo qualche traccia che possa riuscire a definire come guilty pleasure, vagamente coinvolgente. La voce è sempre quella, molto bella, il personaggio, come ho già detto, positivo e simpatico, il disco è francamente irrilevante. Peccato.
With all the sympathy I feel for Elena Jane Goulding, and having appreciated some of her things in the past, I cannot promote this fourth album of hers called Brightest Blue. While noting the thin experimental-slash-electronic veil that slightly differentiates it from the rest of the female pop singers, after repeated listening I really struggle to find even just some track that I can define as guilty pleasure, vaguely engaging. The voice is always the same, very beautiful, the character, as I have already said, positive and nice, the record is frankly irrelevant. What a pity.
