Dispiace dirlo, ma il quattordicesimo studio album della signora che ha contribuito a diffondere i ritmi latini in tutto il mondo, e per la quale nutro rispetto per molte delle sue perle del passato (delle quali vi ho pure parlato), è un disco con poca grinta, piuttosto deludente. Si tratta di una ri-registrazione di molti dei suoi grandi successi, arrangiati nuovamente su ritmi brasiliani, più quattro nuove tracce. Il tutto suona molto forzato, probabilmente anche perché molte delle sue grandi canzoni erano già perfette, e soprattutto, manca molta potenza nei ritmi brasiliani che dovrebbero scuotere i corpi nella danza. Ascoltandolo attentamente, mi è parso pure di percepire la tendenza a non salire troppo con i toni vocali. Tutto troppo smussato, mentre mi sarei aspettato un disco travolgente ed estremamente allegro.
Sorry to say, but the fourteenth studio album by the lady who helped spread Latin rhythms all over the world, and for whom I have respect for many of her pearls of the past (of which I have also spoken to you), is a record with little grit, rather disappointing. It is a re-recording of many of her greatest hits, rearranged on Brazilian rhythms, plus four new tracks. It all sounds very forced, probably also because many of her great songs were already perfect, and above all, it lacks a lot of power in the Brazilian rhythms that should shake bodies in dance. Listening to it carefully, I also seemed to perceive the tendency not to rise too much with the vocal tones. All too smoothed, while I would have expected an overwhelming and extremely cheerful record.
