No pain. The world is a wonderful whisper for those who can listen, if necessary in silence.

Lascia che loro mangino il caos

Let Them Eat Chaos - Kate Tempest (2016)

Bullshit saccharine ballads
And selfies
And selfies
And selfies
And here's me outside the palace of me
"canta" in Europe Is Lost.

Sometimes there are some of my friends, who also read this blog, who delight to listen to albums with lyrics (English) in front of them. Here, friends, I have one that is right for you.
Kate Esther Calvert aka Kate Tempest is a London poet than 30 years old, here with her second solo album (but she has already published several collections of poems). He won the Ted Hughes Award in 2013, and in 2014 was selected by the Poetry Society as a member of the Next Generation Poets. If you read about her, you will read references to William Blake, TS Eliot, but also to the Wu-Tang Clan. Yes, because, musically, Kate is a rapper not to joke about.
Her stories are often populated by simple people, photographs of the working class, deeply in today's reality (Esther, a carer, Zoe, craftswoman, Bradley, a PR):
"Bullshit saccharine ballads
and selfies
and selfies
and selfies
And here's me outside the palace of me"
she "sings" in "Europe Is Lost". It is an electronic hip hop, dense and even warm, paradoxically. A careful job, interesting, full of rhythm changes. To follow.
