Ero convinto di avervi già parlato della band di Portland, Oregon, almeno una volta. E invece no. Quindi, avanti per la prima, con questo loro quarto album, uscito da poche settimane.
Il sound del quartetto è un miscuglio di varie nuance del metal. Un po' di sludge, che in questo ultimo lavoro si percepisce appena, così come lo stoner, e più che l'heavy metal classico direi che siamo di fronte ad un moderno hard rock, che non eccede con la velocità e neppure con i tecnicismi, ma che è senza dubbio suonato da quattro ottimi musicisti. L'avvicinamento a questa sorta di hard rock moderno, passatemi il paragone, a volte sembrano i Foo Fighters più cazzuti e meno arena-rock-oriented, è stata una cosa progressiva, visto che hanno condiviso il palco con Crowbar, Helmet, Megadeth, Godsmack, Disturbed, Mastodon, Black Tusk, Kyuss Lives, Orange Goblin, Opeth e In Flames, ma debbo dire che risulta piacevole, e che la band suona onesta, mostrando tutti i riferimenti del caso e cercando un percorso personale. Davvero niente male.

The quartet's sound is a mixture of various shades of metal. The approach to this kind of modern hard rock, pass me the comparison, sometimes they seem the Foo Fighters more robust and less arena-rock-oriented, it was a progressive thing, as they have shared the stage with Crowbar, Helmet, Megadeth, Godsmack, Disturbed, Mastodon, Black Tusk, Kyuss Lives, Orange Goblin, Opeth and In Flames, but i must say that it is pleasant, and the band plays honest, showing all the references of the case, but looking for a personal path. Not bad, truly.
