Dodicesimo album in studio per la band di Orange County, California, alla quale mi sono "avvicinato" solo con l'album precedente grazie alla segnalazione di uno che ascolta molta più musica di me (quindi sempre da tenere di conto), e che durante 28 anni di attività ha modificato più volte il proprio orientamento stilistico, sempre però all'interno del metal. Seconda parte di un concept che, ovviamente, è cominciato con OMNI, Pt. 1 poco meno di un anno fa, risente forte l'influenza soprattutto dei Meshuggah, ma l'ho trovato un po' più prevedibile e meno variegato del precedente. Nonostante questo, molto "robusto".
Twelfth studio album for the band from Orange County, California, to which I "approached" only with the previous album thanks to the recommendation of someone who listens to much more music than me (therefore always to be taken into account), and who during In 28 years of activity it has changed its stylistic orientation several times, but always within metal. Second part of a concept that, obviously, began with OMNI, Pt. 1 just less than a year ago, is strongly influenced above all by Meshuggah, but I found it a little more predictable and less varied than the previous one. Despite this, very "robust".
