Lo informa che gli effetti dell'OxyContin durano più a lungo del Vicodin che il paziente stava assumendo e, di conseguenza, non dovrà assumerlo con la stessa frequenza. Sottolinea inoltre che causa gli stessi effetti collaterali di altri oppioidi, in particolare la stitichezza. Basata sull'articolo del New Yorker di Patrick Radden Keefe "The Family That Built an Empire of Pain" e sul libro Pain Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America's Opioid Epidemic di Barry Meier, e quindi sulla famiglia Sackler, descritta come la "famiglia più malvagia d'America", e "i peggiori spacciatori della storia", questa serie Netflix è un ottimo prodotto. Intrigante lo sviluppo, coinvolgenti le tre trame principali, portate avanti da un buon cast corale, nel quale ovviamente spiccano alcune individualità importanti. Seppure non sia l'unica serie (o film) sul tema, vale la pena.
Based on Patrick Radden Keefe's New Yorker article "The Family That Built an Empire of Pain" and Barry Meier's book Pain Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America's Opioid Epidemic, and therefore on the Sackler family, described as the "most evil family in America", and "the worst drug dealers in history", this Netflix series is a great product. Intriguing development, engaging three main plots, carried forward by a good ensemble cast, in which obviously some important individuals stand out. Even if it is not the only series (or film) on the subject, it is worth it.
