Ispirato ad una storia realmente accaduta e famosissima, già romanzata nel film statunitense Alive del 1993 e nel film messicano Supervivientes de los Andes del 1976 (ma perfino la famosa serie Yellowjackets è chiaramente ispirata a questa vicenda), basato sull'omonimo libro di Pablo Vierci, a parte essere la prima, rispetto alle altre pellicole, che usa i veri nomi dei morti e dei sopravvissuti, è un ottimo dramma che racconta una storia incredibile di amicizia, coraggio, amore per la vita. Ben girato ed interpretato da un ampio cast di lingua spagnola, ha vinto molti premi Goya ed è entrato nelle nomination per il miglior film internazionale e per il miglior trucco e acconciatura, agli Oscar del 2024.
Inspired by a true and very famous story, already fictionalized in the 1993 American film Alive and in the 1976 Mexican film Supervivientes de los Andes (but even the famous series Yellowjackets is clearly inspired by this story), based on the book of the same name by Pablo Vierci, apart from being the first, compared to other films, to use the real names of the dead and survivors, it is an excellent drama that tells an incredible story of friendship, courage, love for life. Well shot and interpreted by a large Spanish-speaking cast, it won many Goya awards and was nominated for Best International Feature Film and Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the 2024 Oscars.
