Surrender - Maggie Rogers (2022)
Non era difficile, ma posso dire di avervi avvisato: Maggie Rogers è, al suo secondo album, una realtà innegabile del pop di (grande) qualità. Dodici tracce, tra le quali è veramente difficile trovare un riempitivo, mentre è molto facile innamorarsi, dell'idea dell'amore, della voce di questa 28enne statunitense dal viso "acqua e sapone", delle sue canzoni in generale. La mia preferita, dopo decine di ascolti, è Horses, ma magari la vostra sarà un'altra, e va bene così. Il fatto è che, come ho scritto precedentemente, mi pare innegabile che la sua musica sia estremamente matura nel suo genere, e racchiude una pletora di influenze, e che l'insieme funziona benissimo, intrigando perfino chi ama normalmente il metal estremo, quindi immagino anche altri generi musicali. Gran bel disco.

Twelve tracks, among which it is really difficult to find a filler, while it is very easy to fall in love with the idea of love, with the voice of this 28-year-old American with a "girl next door" face, with her songs in general. My favorite, after dozens of hearing, is Horses, but maybe yours will be another, and that's okay. The fact is that, as I wrote previously, it seems undeniable that her music is extremely mature in its genre, and contains a plethora of influences, and that the whole works very well, intriguing even those who normally love extreme metal, so I guess also other musical genres. Great beautiful record.
