Ascoltiamo e cerchiamo le band più dure e bastarde, ma vogliamo che ci siano dei passaggi che ci fanno piangere. Contemporaneamente, siamo sempre alla ricerca di giovani cantanti femmine che cantino in maniera deliziosa e che in qualche modo tocchino le corde del nostro cuoricino. E' il caso di Margaret Debay Rogers, 26 anni da Easton, Maryland, due album indipendenti all'attivo prima di questa coppia (EP del 2017 e album del 2019), conosciuta solo qualche giorno fa per un duetto insieme a Phoebe Bridgers (una roba che ti apre direttamente il petto e ti asporta il cuore). Multistrumentista, immersa nella musica fin da piccola, musica di tutti i generi, ha una voce portentosa e un talento compositivo cristallino. Alcune tracce dell'EP le ritrovate nell'album del 2019, il genere è vicinissimo al pop ma non è mai banale, e lo stile è di una delicatezza incredibile. Curiosamente, è balzata agli onori delle cronache musicali qualche anno fa, quando Pharrell Williams ha suonato una sua canzone (Alaska) durante una master class alla New York University. Vi avviso, vi sarà difficile non innamorarvene.

You'll find some tracks of the EP also in the album of 2019, the genre is very close to pop but it is never banal, and the style is of an incredible delicacy. Curiously, she jumped to the headlines a few years ago when Pharrell Williams played one of her songs (Alaska) during a master class at New York University. I warn you, it will be difficult not to fall in love with her.
