Exitivm - Pestilence (2021)
La band di Patrick Mameli pubblica il secondo disco dopo la seconda reunion, il loro nono complessivamente, e mi pare di poter dire che nulla è cambiato. Disco di pregevole fattura, l'ennesimo, di un genere che mi avrebbe fatto impazzire alla fine degli anni '80, ma che adesso mi lascia abbastanza indifferente. Per chi non conoscesse la band, il genere potremmo definirlo progressive / thrash / death metal. Massimo rispetto alla loro passione, probabilmente dipende tutto da me come ascoltatore, ormai assuefatto anni fa da questo "filone".
Patrick Mameli's band releases the second album after the second reunion, their ninth overall, and I think I can say that nothing has changed. Record of exquisite workmanship, yet another, of a genre that would have made me crazy in the late 80s, but which now leaves me quite indifferent. For those unfamiliar with the band, the genre could be defined as progressive / thrash / death metal. Maximum respect to their passion, it probably all depends on me as a listener, addicted to this "trend" years ago.
