Post Human: Nex Gen - Bring Me the Horizon (2024)

Seconda parte del progetto (che dovrebbe essere in quattro parti) Post Human, dopo Survival Horror del 2020 (considerato un EP da molti, quindi questo Nex Gen sarebbe il settimo album per i BMTH), rimandato più volte e poi uscito quasi a sorpresa (ma dopo ben sei singoli), il nuovo disco della band di Sheffield UK, che segna l'addio del tastierista Jordan Fish, è un disco che allontanerà ancora altri fan che rimpiangono ancora i loro primi dischi, ma che, a prescindere dal fatto se porterà loro nuovi fan oppure no, è un disco che ribadisce il loro coraggio musicale, e sposta ancora un po' più in là i confini del metal. Un disco che non si limita a fondere appunto metal e pop, ma un sacco di altre cose che vi lascio scoprire, se sarete così curiosi da ascoltarlo. Il succo, però sta qui: melodie stratosferiche, linee vocali sorprendenti, e riff da far invidia a Toni Iommi. Non siate dubbiosi, e ricordatevi che il termine crossover, tanti anni fa, ci ha regalato molti bei dischi.

Second part of the project (which should be in four parts) Post Human, after 2020' Survival Horror (considered an EP by many, so this Nex Gen would be the seventh album for BMTH), postponed several times and then released almost by surprise (but after six singles), the new album by the Sheffield UK band, which marks the farewell of keyboardist Jordan Fish, is a record that will alienate other fans who still miss their first records, but who, regardless of whether will it bring them new fans or not, it's a record that reaffirms their musical courage, and pushes the boundaries of metal a little further. A record that doesn't just blend metal and pop, but a lot of other things that I'll let you discover, if you're curious enough to listen to it. The gist, however, is here: stratospheric melodies, surprising vocal lines, and riffs that would make Toni Iommi envious. Don't be doubtful, and remember that the term crossover gave us many good records many years ago.
