Post Human: Survival Horror - Bring Me the Horizon (2020)

Il nuovo lavoro della band inglese è nominalmente un EP, seppure contenga 9 tracce per 32 minuti di musica. E' il primo di quattro EP del progetto che si intitola, appunto, Post Human, e a detta del cantante Oliver, ognuno avrà un mood differente. Questo pare che sia nato dalla passione per il videogioco Doom Eternal, infatti la band ha contattato il sound designer del gioco stesso Mick Gordon, che li ha aiutati nella produzione e ha suonato alcuni strumenti. Spazio per collaborazioni che ormai non stupiscono più (Yungblud, Babymetal, Nova Twins, Amy Lee), perché distanti dal loro genere iniziale ma, adesso, e questo lavoro lo conferma sempre di più, i BMTH si avviano a diventare i Def Leppard (o i Linkin Park come suggeriva un amico pochi giorni fa dopo il primo ascolto) del metalcore, estendendo il loro bacino d'utenza con ampie concessioni al lato "commerciale" del genere, flirtando con dance, elettronica, r'n'b, ma proprio per questo, rimanendo una band interessante per coraggio e voglia di cambiare.

The new work by the British band is nominally an EP, albeit containing 9 tracks for 32 minutes of music. It is the first of four EPs of the project which is entitled, in fact, Post Human, and according to the singer Oliver, each one will have a different mood. This seems to have arisen from the passion for the Doom Eternal video game, in fact the band contacted the sound designer of the game himself Mick Gordon, who helped them in the production and played some instruments. Space for collaborations that no longer surprise (Yungblud, Babymetal, Nova Twins, Amy Lee), because they are far from their initial genre but, now, and this work confirms it more and more, BMTH are on the way to becoming the Def Leppard (or the Linkin Park as a friend suggested a few days ago after the first listen) of metalcore, extending their catchment area with ample concessions to the "commercial" side of the genre, flirting with dance, electronics, r'n'b, but just for this, remaining an interesting band for courage and desire to change.
