Arsonist of the Soul - Burning Point (2021)
Oggi parliamo brevemente di questa band finlandese, formata nel 1999 a Oulu, e che un paio di settimane fa ha fatto uscire il suo ottavo album. La band ha subito molti cambi di formazione, e l'unico componente che è rimasto costante per tutta la "vita" della band è l'attuale chitarrista Pete Ahonen, che fino al 2016 si occupava anche del canto (dopo un breve interludio con Nitte Valo alla voce, il posto di cantante è stato preso da Luca Sturniolo, suppongo italiano, in Finlandia dal 2004). Il genere è un power metal vagamente speed, che lascia in bocca un gusto antico, a volte perfino imbarazzante. E' ovviamente un problema mio, per il terzo giorno consecutivo, vi ripeto che i miei gusti musicali si stanno spostando verso gli estremi, di pari passo con l'età.
Today we talk briefly about this Finnish band, formed in 1999 in Oulu, and that a couple of weeks ago released their eighth album. The band has undergone many line-up changes, and the only member who has remained constant throughout the band's "life" is the current guitarist Pete Ahonen, who until 2016 was also in charge of singing (after a short interlude with Nitte Valo to the voice, the position of singer was taken by Luca Sturniolo, I suppose Italian, in Finland since 2004). The genre is a vaguely speed power metal, which leaves an ancient taste in the mouth, at times even embarrassing. It is obviously my problem, for the third consecutive day, I repeat to you that my musical tastes are moving towards extremes, in line with age.
