Tra un po' parleremo anche del primo disco, di questo progetto nato dalla collaborazione tra Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) e Aaron Dessner (The National), ma adesso concentriamoci su questo secondo disco, uscito a fine agosto. Si fanno sempre più rarefatte le iniezioni di elettronica (ci sono, ma sono molto sullo sfondo), c'è il songwriting impeccabile dei due componenti, e tutto intorno, c'è come il divertimento di invitare ospiti capaci e tra i più disparati, per creare un qualcosa che colpisca a livello di bellezza, che provi a lasciare il segno. Anaïs Mitchell, Fleet Foxes, Taylor Swift, Ilsey, Naeem, Sharon Van Etten, Lisa Hannigan, Shara Nova, La Force, Ben Howard e Kate Stables, con altri contributi illustri alla composizione, ed eccovi un'ora abbondante di pop misto a folk e ad elettronica di grande classe. Ascoltare per credere.
