Divento noioso anche secondo me, quando faccio ammenda, ma son fatto così. I 16, di Los Angeles, California, sono una band che, insieme a Eyehategod, Acid Bath e Crowbar, ad aver creato un sottogenere, quello dello sludge metal. Si formano nel 1992, chiamandosi 15, cambiano nome perché vengono a sapere che c'era un'altra band che si chiamava Fifteen, e da allora vengono portati avanti da uno dei fondatori, Bobby Ferry, chitarra e voce. Partono dal thrash metal, dall'hardcore, ma contemporaneamente dal noise, dall'alt rock del tipo pesante, e pubblicano il loro debutto nel 1993 per l'etichetta indipendente dell'allora famosissimo Pushead, artista visuale che ha lavorato per Metallica e Misfits. Arrivano fino ai giorni nostri con numerosissimi cambi di formazione, ma con uno stile quadrato, che parte dai Black Sabbath, ingloba tutto quello citato prima, e non si limita a ricreare quelle atmosfere, ma prova ad essere personale. Disco compatto e potente.

Formed in 1992, calling themselves 15, they change their name because they learn that there was another band called Fifteen, and have since been carried on by one of the founders, Bobby Ferry, guitar and vocals. They start from thrash metal, hardcore, but at the same time from noise, from alt rock of the heavy type, and released their debut in 1993 for the independent label of the then famous Pushead, a visual artist who worked for Metallica and Misfits. They come up to the present day with numerous line-up changes, but with a square style, which starts from Black Sabbath, incorporates everything mentioned above, and doesn't just recreate those atmospheres, but tries to be personal.
