Il sesto album della cantante inuit è dichiaratamente anti-guerra. L'attivismo dell'artista non è una novità, artista davvero a tutto tondo, viste le sue recenti apparizioni nei cast di True Detective: Night Country e di North of North. A livello musicale, sempre di più il suo iniziale Katajjaq appare qua e là, all'occorrenza, e la maestria vocale, accompagnata da uno stile musicale totalmente eclettico, per il quale non basta l'etichetta World Music, e che accompagna, ancora una volta, l'ascoltatore coraggioso, quello che osa farsi trasportare senza paraocchi, in un viaggio che può essere psichedelico e onirico, ma di grande soddisfazione. Un album enorme.
The Inuit singer's sixth album is avowedly anti-war. The artist's activism is nothing new; she's a truly well-rounded artist, given her recent appearances in True Detective: Night Country and North of North. Musically, her early Katajjaq rarely appears here and there, as needed, and her vocal mastery, coupled with a totally eclectic musical style, transcends the World Music label and once again accompanies the courageous listener, the one who dares to be transported without blinders on a journey that can be psychedelic and dreamlike, yet immensely satisfying. A huge album.
