Moral Hygiene - Ministry (2021)
Sono quaranta, gli anni di attività dei Ministry di Al Jourgensen: non male. Questo Moral Hygiene, tutto incentrato sulla pandemia di COVID19 e sul clima generato dalla stessa e dalla gestione Trump, è un disco più che decente, che ricorda a tutti quanto il metal debba agli stessi, seppure non ci siano particolari innovazioni. Certo, difficilmente, tra tutti i tentativi di suonarla ancora, è possibile superare la loro versione di Search and Destroy degli Stooges; ma pure il resto, da seguire mediante le liriche, non è niente male. Ospiti di livello: Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, The Cult), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Arabian Prince (N.W.A.), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys soprattutto); in formazione, al basso, Paul D'Amour (già con i Tool).
Al Jourgensen's Ministry has been active for forty years: not bad. This Moral Hygiene, all focused on the COVID19 pandemic and on the climate generated by it and by the Trump administration, is a more than decent record, which reminds everyone how much metal owes them, even if there are no particular innovations. Sure, hardly, of all attempts to play it again, it is possible to surpass their version of Search and Destroy by the Stooges; but also the rest, to be followed through the lyrics, is not bad at all.
