Poco più di un anno è passato dal precedente What the Dead Men Say, come abbiamo detto più volte, ecco una delle conseguenze della pandemia di COVID19. Nessuna possibilità di andare in tour, costretti a stare chiusi in casa, i musicisti che riescono a sopravvivere vengono quasi costretti a creare. Siamo al decimo disco per la band di Orlando, Florida, ed il mio giudizio non cambia di una virgola: questo è il classic heavy metal oggi, le strutture della NWOBHM "sporcate" dal thrash, dal metalcore e dal death metal, perfino dal progressive, in questo caso specifico. La band di Matt Heafy svolge il suo compito al meglio, i dischi si fanno ascoltare, poi si fanno dimenticare.
Just over a year has passed since the previous What the Dead Men Say, as we have said several times, here is one of the consequences of the COVID19 pandemic. No chance to go on tour, forced to stay indoors, the musicians who manage to survive are almost forced to create. We are on the tenth record for the band from Orlando, Florida, and my judgment does not change one iota: this is classic heavy metal today, NWOBHM structures "get dirty" by thrash, metalcore and death metal, even progressive , in this specific case. Matt Heafy's band does this as its best, the records are ok to be listened to, then they are ok to be forgotten.
