Blue Banisters - Lana Del Rey (2021)
Ottavo disco per Lana Del Rey, il secondo del 2021 (la scia del lockdown ci accompagnerà ancora per un po', credo). Come sapete, il personaggio mi intriga, concordo con critici ben più bravi di me che sia degno di nota, questo misto di ironia, autoironia, iconografia americana di un certo periodo, rapporti di amore/odio con la stampa, con la famiglia, con le amiche, con gli ex fidanzati, questo alternarsi di metafore complesse e trasparenza nelle sue liriche e nelle interviste, la rende molto interessante. Detto tutto questo, il disco è buono, ma non mi fa impazzire, e questo naturalmente perché il livello dei suoi lavori è sempre molto alto, ma anche perché il suo stile comincia ad essere un po' prevedibile, a mio modesto parere. Cercate di capirmi, se prendete una traccia a caso, anche da questo Blue Banisters, difficilmente troverete una brutta canzone, ma nel complesso mi ha emozionato meno di altri suoi lavori.
Eighth album for Lana Del Rey, the second of 2021 (the wake of the lockdown will accompany us for a while longer, I think). As you know, the character intrigues me, I agree with better critics than me that it is noteworthy, this mixture of irony, self-irony, American iconography of a certain period, love / hate relationships with the press, with the family, with her friends, with ex-boyfriends, this alternation of complex metaphors and transparency in her lyrics and interviews makes her very interesting. Having said all this, the record is good, but it doesn't drive me crazy, and this of course because the level of her work is always very high, but also because her style is starting to be a bit predictable, in my humble opinion. Try to understand me, if you take a track at random, even from this Blue Banisters, you will hardly find a bad song, but overall I was less excited than other works of her.
