Marching in Time - Tremonti (2021)
Quinto disco per Tremonti, la band. Mi accorgo adesso che mi sono perso il loro quarto, A Dying Machine, del 2018. Poco male, ma c'è da dire che Marching in Time conferma che Mark Tremonti (sempre ovviamente leader della band, voce, chitarra solista e unico compositore), dopo aver letto le mie precedenti recensioni e riflessioni, si è messo d'impegno. Naturalmente, deve comunque mantenere un certo ritmo nelle sue uscite, quindi il capolavoro non è ancora arrivato, ma, scherzi a parte, per quanto rimanga scontato, il suo speed power metal ispirato dalla sua cultura cattolica e dal suo ottimismo buonista, risulta ancora un ascolto piacevole: una montagna di riff che richiamano tutte le sue influenze, voglia di melodia quasi da arena rock, e soprattutto, finalmente libero sfogo alla sua capacità di scrivere e suonare assoli degni di un grande chitarrista. Buono l'impegno anche alla voce, dodici brani per quasi un'ora di musica tamarra si, ma che ogni tanto ci vuole.

But it's ok, it must be said that Marching in Time confirms that Mark Tremonti (always of course leader of the band, vocals, lead guitar and sole composer), after reading my previous reviews and reflections, he made a commitment. Of course, he still has to keep a certain rhythm in his releases, so the masterpiece hasn't arrived yet, but joking aside, however obvious it may be, his speed power metal inspired by his Catholic culture and his feel-good optimism, is still a pleasant listening: a mountain of riffs that recall all his influences, a desire for melody almost like an arena rock, and above all, finally free rein to his ability to write and play solos worthy of a great guitarist. Good commitment also to the voice, twelve songs for almost an hour of rustic / peasant music, but that sometimes I need it.
