Quarto album in 37 anni per la band di Tampa, Florida. La loro è una storia complessa, fatta di scioglimenti, nuove formazioni, cambi di nome, iati lunghi e brevi, militanze in altre band (Death, Obituary, Kreator, Whiplash), che probabilmente non ha reso loro abbastanza merito, in quanto fondamentali nella nascita e nello sviluppo del death metal. Il disco appena uscito è infatti un album massiccio di death metal che possiamo definire classico: ritmi velocissimi e doppia cassa, qualche rallentamento, ma sempre robusto, voce costantemente in growling, tematiche ed iconografia in tema, richiami al thrash metal e ai capostipiti Venom e Slayer. Leggermente old school, ma a noi nostalgici ogni tanto serve.

Fourth album in 37 years for the band from Tampa, Florida. Theirs is a complex story, made up of breakups, new formations, name changes, long and short hiatus, militancy in other bands (Death, Obituary, Kreator, Whiplash), which probably did not give them enough credit, as fundamental in the birth and development of death metal. The newly released album is in fact a massive death metal album that we can define as classic: very fast rhythms and blast beat, some slowdown, but always robust, voice constantly growling, themes and iconography on the subject, references to thrash metal and the founders Venom and Slayer. Slightly old school, but we nostalgics need it every now and then.
