Illusion - Edda (2022)
Il fatto che mi venga da considerare l'ultimo disco di Edda (per chi ascoltasse solo la trap, Stefano Rampoldi, ex cantante dei mai dimenticati - anche perché suonano ancora - Ritmo Tribale) il più bel disco italiano del 2022, vi fa capire quanto mi si possa considerare antico, rispetto al panorama nostrano. Magari ci sarà pure qualche perla nascosta, magari potrei sforzarmi un po' di più, magari accadrà più avanti; per il momento, fidatevi del consiglio. Testi come sempre che sembrano surreali, ma che sono solo stimolanti, e un ventaglio di generi che va dall'intimista al post punk, e quella voce che, come mi è capitato spesso di dire, dapprima ti innervosisce, poi ti incanta. Forse la mia preferita è Carlo Magno, ma se lo ascolto altre due volte probabilmente potrei cambiare.
The fact that I consider Edda's latest album (for those who only listen to trap, Stefano Rampoldi, former singer of the never forgotten - also because they still play - Ritmo Tribale) the most beautiful Italian album of 2022, makes you understand how much I can be considered ancient, compared to our landscape. Maybe there will also be some hidden gem, maybe I could try a little harder, maybe it will happen later; for now, trust the advice. Lyrics as always that seem surreal, but which are only stimulating, and a range of genres that goes from intimate to post punk, and that voice which, as I have often said, first makes you nervous, then enchants you. Perhaps my favorite is Carlo Magno, but if I listen to it two more times I might probably change.
