L'ispettore investigativo svedese Kurt Wallander tenta di collegare lo scioccante suicidio di una giovane donna e il feroce omicidio di un ministro del governo, e alla fine scopre illeciti e corruzione che si estendono fino al cuore dell'establishment svedese.
Kurt Wallander è un personaggio inventato dalla penna dello scrittore svedese Henning Mankell, e alla TV era già stato trasposto, in Svezia, con una serie di film, dal 2005 al 2013. Se si riesce a vincere l'incredulità generata dal vedere un cast di inglesi che parlano inglese fingersi svedesi, questa serie basata sul personaggio Wallander, interpretato nientemeno che da Kenneth Branagh, è molto buona. I casi sono intriganti, e la caratterizzazione dei personaggi a dir poco intensa.
Kurt Wallander is a character invented by the pen of the Swedish writer Henning Mankell, and on TV had already been transposed, in Sweden, with a series of films, from 2005 to 2013. If you manage to overcome the disbelief generated by seeing a cast of English-speaking Brits posing as Swedes, this series based on the character Wallander, played by none other than Kenneth Branagh, is very good. The cases are intriguing, and the characterization of the characters is nothing short of intense.
