Unison Life - Brutus (2022)

Terzo album in studio per la band di Leuven, che grazie al solito passaparola tra i giusti, ho seguito quasi fin dai loro inizi. A leggere la "catalogazione" sulla loro scheda Wikipedia, viene un po' da sorridere: post-hardcore, math rock, post-rock, post-metal, shoegaze. E' tutto vero, così come è tutto discutibile. Quel che rimane è che anche i 42 minuti e 49 secondi delle dieci tracce di questo nuovo Unison Life, c'è un carico emozionale sbalorditivo. Potrei farvi accostamenti svariati e disparati, ma non lo farò, perché, ancora una volta, voglio che prendiate 42 minuti (e 49 secondi) del vostro tempo per ascoltare questo album. Se non avete tutto questo tempo, andate su YouTube ed ascoltatevi solo Victoria: vi innamorerete. Se non sarà così, non tornate su questo blog, è tutto inutile.

Third studio album for the band from Leuven, which thanks to the usual word of mouth among the right ones, I have followed almost since their beginnings. Reading the "labelling" on their Wikipedia file, it makes you smile a bit: post-hardcore, math rock, post-rock, post-metal, shoegaze. It's all true, just as it's all questionable. What remains is that even the 42 minutes and 49 seconds of the ten tracks of this new Unison Life, there is a staggering emotional load. I could make many disparate comparisons, but I won't, because, again, I want you to take 42 minutes (and 49 seconds) of your time to listen to this album. If you don't have all this time, go to YouTube and just listen to Victoria: you'll fall in love. If not, don't come back to this blog, it's all useless.
