Dogrel - Fontaines D.C. (2019)
Disco di debutto per la band di Dublino, un album già abbastanza convincente, per una band decisamente giovane. Più poetici e meno politici dei contemporanei Idles, a loro spesso avvicinati, hanno però un'urgenza importante nel loro furore post punk. Un mulinare di chitarre grezze, ritmi spesso forsennati e tipici del punk originale, un cantato dolente reso particolare da un accento impossibile da non notare, sono pure molto bravi a scrivere le canzoni, pur non avendo inventato niente.
Debut album for the Dublin band, a convincing enough for a very young band. More poetic and less political than their contemporaries Idles, often approached to them, however, they have an important urgency in their post punk fury. A whirlwind of raw guitars, often frenzied rhythms typical of the original punk, a painful singing made particular by an accent impossible to unnotice, they are also very good at writing songs, even if they haven't invented anything.
