Settimo album per la band svedese, a tre anni di distanza dal precedente To Drink from the Night Itself, questo The Nightmare of Being è l'ennesima dimostrazione di come si può fare death metal melodico perfino in maniera "elegante", passatemi il termine che potrebbe apparire stridente; non trovo altro modo per descrivere il sax su Garden of Cyrus, come pure tutto il resto del disco (anche il flauto ad il resto degli ottoni all'inizio di Touched by the White Hands of Death, e non solo), un compendio di come fare melodic death metal rispettandone tutti i canoni, dimostrando la tecnica complessiva, mantenere la propria personalità e non risultare stucchevoli.

Seventh album for the Swedish band, three years after the previous To Drink from the Night Itself, this The Nightmare of Being is yet another demonstration of how you can make melodic death metal even in an "elegant" way, pass me the term that it may appear jarring; I find no other way to describe the sax on Garden of Cyrus, as well as all the rest of the record (even the flute and the rest of the brass at the beginning of Touched by the White Hands of Death, and not only), a compendium of how making melodic death metal respecting all the canons, demonstrating the overall technique, maintaning their personality and not being cloying.
