Pink Noise - Laura Mvula (2021)
Al terzo album, cinque anni dopo Dreaming Room, la ragazza inglese dalla voce impressionante si lancia in una operazione che guarda quasi totalmente alla personale reniterpretazione degli anni '80, un disco denso di elettronica e synth. La capacità compositiva, che già mi aveva impressionato sul disco precedente, è immutata, seppure le sonorità non mi coinvolgano più di tanto. Il disco è comunque molto ben fatto. Su What Matters c'è, ospite, Simon Neil dei Biffy Clyro. Disco particolare, il talento c'è e sicuramente ci soprenderà ancora.
On her third album, five years after Dreaming Room, the English girl with an impressive voice launches herself into an operation that almost totally looks at her personal interpretation of the '80s, a record full of electronics and synths. The compositional ability, which had already impressed me on the previous album, is unchanged, even if the sounds don't involve me that much. The record is still very well done. On What Matters there is, guest, Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro. Particular record, the talent is there and she will surely surprise us again.
