Kostolom - Slaughter to Prevail (2021)

Oggi ci occupiamo di una band russa, non al 100% ma quasi. La band nasce da un'idea del chitarrista inglese Jack Simmons, che tramite dei video, rimase colpito dal vocalist russo Aleksandr Shikolai detto Alex Terrible; decide di reclutarlo e di costruire una band insieme a lui, e al batterista Anton Poddyachy (poi sostituito). Parliamo del 2014; ci sono stati poi altri innesti ed altre sostituzioni, ed in questo momento la formazione è completamente russa escluso il fondatore Simmons. Siamo al secondo album, il genere è un deathcore molto aggressivo, decisamente influenzato moltissimo dagli Slipknot, insieme ad altre influenze classiche in questo genere. La band si esibisce spesso con maschere, le liriche in russo stanno pian piano lasciando posto a quelle in inglese.

Today we are dealing with a Russian band, not 100% but almost. The band was born from an idea of the English guitarist Jack Simmons, who through some videos, was impressed by the Russian vocalist Aleksandr Shikolai known as Alex Terrible; decides to recruit him and build a band with him, and drummer Anton Poddyachy (later replaced). Let's talk about 2014; then there have been other grafts and other replacements, and at this moment the formation is completely Russian excluding the founder Simmons. We are on the second album, the genre is a very aggressive deathcore, definitely heavily influenced by Slipknot, along with other classic influences in this genre. The band often performs with masks, the lyrics in Russian are slowly giving way to those in English.
