Futha - Heilung (2019)

Terzo album per la band formata da membri tedeschi, norvegesi e danesi, che, in modo simile a quello dei Wardruna, prende spunto dai testi e dalle iscrizioni runiche del medioevo centro-nord europeo, nello specifico età del bronzo, l'età del ferro e l'età vichinga. Autodefiniscono la propria musica come "storia amplificata", i testi si ispirano alle divinità nordiche, agli jǫtunn, e alle valchirie. Il loro nome, Heilung, in tedesco, significa "guarigione". Il disco è a tratti inquietante, e bisogna dire che ti proietta sicuramente in quella parentesi storica, ti avvicina ad una realtà decisamente diversa da quella alla quale siamo abituati. I suoni sono "vivi", pochissimo è ricostruito in studio, insomma, un'esperienza (che dura abbondantemente oltre l'ora) davvero oltre la musica.

Third album for the band made up of German, Norwegian and Danish members, which, in a similar way to that of Wardruna, takes its cue from the texts and runic inscriptions of the Middle Ages north-central Europe, in the specific Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Viking Age. They define their music as an "amplified story", the lyrics are inspired by the Nordic gods, the Jǫtunns, and the Valkyries. Their name, Heilung, in German, means "healing". The album is at times disturbing, and it must be said that it certainly projects you into that historical parenthesis, it brings you closer to a decidedly different reality from the one we are used to. The sounds are "alive", very little is reconstructed in the studio, in short, an experience (which lasts well beyond an hour) truly beyond music.
